FOOD AND BEVERAGE SUPERVISOR

Opening in February, at Vancouver’s bustling West End on Denman Street, Pasture to Plate Grill, Broths, and Deli, is looking for you to become our full-time year-around Food and Beverage (F&B) Supervisor. As an F&B Supervisor, you should be able to work a flexible work schedule that includes holidays, weekends and evenings to meet our business demands.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the General Manager, F&B Supervisor is primarily responsible for the day-to-day supervision of staff and operation, with persistent focus on efficient workflow, sales, services, and product quality. Followings, but not limited to, are the specific duties to be performed by the F&B supervisor on a regular basis:

• Ensure congenial camaraderie and respectful communications within and beyond our team;

• Maintain our excellence in food and services including store ambiences that people are amazed by;

• Resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely, friendly and professional manner;

• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed as per company and industry standard;

• Ensure daily and weekly sales quotas are met;

• Monitor and report on budgeted cost and labour usage;

• Ensure sufficient stock of products and supplies required for food preparation and retail;

• Requisition of product and equipment as required for daily operations;

• Control inventory by maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage;

• Adhere to and implement company policy, standard, and procedures.

Additional duties as assigned will include

• Assisting in the proficient management of the store towards increasing sales and profitability

• Assisting in recruitment and the training

• Assisting in the preparation of sales forecast and labour needs

• Assisting in inventory and labour management

• Assisting in performance reviews and staff accountability

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience managing/supervising in a fast-paced casual restaurant/bar

• Serving it right certification

• Food-Safe Level 1 certification with current standing

• Retail and merchandising experience will be considered as an asset

• Proven outstanding guest Service and guest complaints handling skills

• Leadership acumen with hands-on management approach

COUNTER ATTENDANT

Soon to be open in February, at Vancouver’s bustling West End on Denman Street, Pasture to Plate Grill, Broths, and Deli is looking for you to become a key member of our service team. In this specific role of a Counter Attendant, in addition to your key responsibilities, you will also be acting as a frontline ambassador of our company.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain congenial camaraderie and respectful communications within and beyond our team;

• Maintain our excellence in food and services including store ambiances that people are amazed by;

• Perform the following tasks responsibly with utmost efficacy:

o Greet and receive our guests at the counter;

o Take orders, offer suggestions and engage guests in informative conversation;

o Work in close coordination with the kitchen staff to ensure promptness and accuracy between orders taken and served;

o Communicate all guest complaints or concerns with the management with immediacy;

o Ensure prompt and effective resolution of guest complaints or concerns in coordination with the management;

o Scanning goods, collect payments, issuing receipts and refunds;

o Ensure sufficient stock of products and supplies required for food delivery;

o Ensure sufficient stock and merchandising of deli and retail products.

Required Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience working as a host/hostess/cashier or deli counter staff in food

and beverage outlets/restaurants

• Some supervisory experience will be considered as an asset

• Serving it right certification

• Food-Safe Level 1 will be considered as an asset

In this specific role of a GRILL COOK, in addition to your key responsibilities, you will also be acting as a frontline ambassador of PASTURE TO PLATE and its values.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain congenial camaraderie and respectful communications within and beyond our team;

• Maintain our excellence in food and services through preparation and presentation of food that people are amazed by;

• Following, but not limited to, are the key tasks to be performed with utmost efficacy:

o Prepare food items in accordance to guests’ specifications and preset recipes;

o Ensure consistency in portion and aesthetic presentation of all the food items;

o Regulate temperature of broilers, grills, skewers, rollers, and ovens;

o Check and recheck food temperature to ensure accuracy of order

o Ensure that all supplied items are of good quality and accurate quantity;

o Ensure refrigeration and rotation of food items;

o Ensure food items are appropriately thawed before using;

o Discard any expired or near expiry food items following company policy;

o Ensure work area by cleaning and sanitizing constantly;

o Ensure preventative and general maintenance of all equipment;

o Ensure sufficient stock of products and supplies required for food delivery;

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience with relevant experience

• Some supervisory experience will be considered as an asset

• Food Safe Level 1

• Food Safe Level 2 will be considered as an asset

In the heart of lively Commercial Drive in Vancouver is currently looking for a part-time (up to 4 days a week) Meat Cutter/Butcher for immediate start.
